General

  • Jon: I wanted to let you all know we haven’t forgotten about the Kickstarter physical rewards. We’ve run into multiple delays, but we’re still working on them!

Progress

  • August brought in our first successful rollback netcode test, now we’ve been working on putting in the new combat designs we wrote out awhile back!

  • Jon looked at the Dialog System and came up with a plan to work on dialog without opening up Unity at all through the use of Twine. This saves time when looking to do any updates to the dialog. The dialog editing build they tested with had Kaiya, a few objects to interact with, and the 3D portraits. Collaborating with Javon, they have been working through updating key pieces of in-game dialog. He also worked on Finalizing Gracoon’s Rig. Afterwards, he then transitioned to currently working on Gracoon’s New Heavy Animations, working on Home Island AI System.

  • Aidan has been working on getting our Overworld Mythren Movement System updated. He has been wrapping up working on the scouting system. Within the scouting system, he created a radius variable on the objects to enable Mythren to be able to identify them, in addition he made it easier in the editor to view the radius variable. Lastly he was able to expose variables that allow a chance for the scouting Mythren to be able to run off and grab an object. Currently, he is working on fixing the gliding system.

  • Javon: Stepped back to revisit and edit the Yuuke Tahn, once completed will resume working on the Advent Cultural Document. Met with Jon on updating the home island dialog set piece, and the other trainers dialog within Zone 1.

  • Ice:. Zane and Ice met and came up with ideas for overworld AI for home island

  • Hallie: Worked on narrowing down the final 5 concept designs for Castle Rock, as well as the gardens for Castle Rock

  • Drake: Ran through a demo of how to work on the project with Jon, and has been working on updating Gracoons with his new design in the combat Alpha.
